Let's read!

Finding Your Inner Voice

The Muslim authors and illustrators below have infused nothing short of their souls into creating authentic stories that provide an important window into the worlds of many children whose voices have been traditionally overlooked in the publishing world. I know them as friends, fellow writers, and most importantly, as strong advocates for inclusive storytelling.

This reading list is by no means exhaustive of the volume of Muslim contributions to KidLit, but I hope it will provide a good starting point for those looking to expand their home and classroom library collections this Islamic Heritage Month, including beautiful new releases! Be sure to visit their author sites for educator resources, newsletters, and more.
